GAO Teams Up with Universal Pictures to Promote "Blue Crush"

San Francisco, CA –July 1, 2002 - girlsAdventureOUT, a Bay Area company offering outdoor adventure tours, clinics and vacations for women, will partner with Universal Pictures to promote Universal’s upcoming movie, "Blue Crush."

Blue Crush is a teen drama set for release on August 16, 2002. The movie centers on the lives of three young women with a passion for surfing. girlsAdventureOUT, which offers surf clinics popular with Bay Area women, will offer surf clinic participants free Blue Crush movie passes for the August 13th screening at the Galaxy Theater in San Francisco.

Along with surfing related companies such as Billabong and Roxy, girlsAdventureOut will sponsor the Macy's Blue Crush Event, which will be held at Macy's on Union Square in San Francisco on July 27th. girlsAdventureOUT’s very own Kelly Rice, a surfing instructor, will host mini-surfing demonstrations and lessons. The company will donate a few of their popular a 2-day surfing clinics and a Camelback Hydration System as raffle prizes. The turnout is expected at approximately 1,000 participants.
