Guide Training and Affiliation
In response to increasing demand for our programs nationwide, Adventure Out has launched two exciting new programs that we believe will truly revolutionize the outdoor industry, and help us expand our offerings to new locations:
Guide/Instructor Training and Certification
This program is for both existing outdoor guides and educators, as well as those new to the field. Hone your skills, learn the science behind some of the programs you teach, and learn the Adventure Out business model so that you can begin to run your own programs and teach others with success and a consistent client base. Each guide training course will focus on a particular activity, but will still contain information that is applicable to any adventure business, regardless of the activities your business offers (or will offer). Roughly 30% of the workshop is activity-specific, while 70% focuses more on teaching/guiding methodology, business practices, & successful adventure program operation. In short, anyone can benefit from these programs – kayak guides can take our survival-based training program and apply our business model and techniques to their kayak program (while learning some great survival skills as well). Backpacking guides can take our mountain biking-based program and still apply our equation for success to their backpack programs. Once the training course has been completed, guides and schools may apply for affiliation to license the name “Adventure Out” and begin running their own outdoor programs.

School/Guide/Program Affiliation
Existing outdoor programs, upon approval, will be able to start using the “Adventure Out” brand to drive more business to their schools. Upon approval, accredited programs will be listed on AdventureOut.com as regional affiliates for the brand. Affiliates will receive marketing support ranging from client referrals, to advertising assistance, website creation, and each new affiliate will receive a 1-on-1 business consulting session with Adventure Out Founder Cliff Hodges.

New instructors/businesses that have been open for less than 2 years can now open their doors, after completing our Training and Certification program, using the Adventure Out business model and brand to get new clients in the door immediately. If you are looking to open an adventure business, or have a new business just getting off the ground, enroll in our guide training program to receive crucial training in the Adventure Out methods and business model. Once you’ve completed this course, you may apply for affiliation at your seminar, or afterwards by emailing: affiliates@adventureout.com
