This two-day workshop will explore the grounding, centering and peaceful benefits of yoga mixed with the fun, excitement and exhilaration of surfing waves in the Pacific Ocean. We will start off with an hour of gentle, flowing yoga and meditation to unite body, mind and spirit. The yoga practice will focus on opening and stretching the muscles necessary for paddling, will emphasize balance for riding waves, and will prepare us for feeling the energy of the ocean.
After the yoga practice will come surf instruction during which participants will learn ocean awareness, safety, how to read ocean conditions and surf technique as well as balancing on the board. Then we will get in the water and ride waves! This workshop is open to both intermediate surfers as well as complete beginners and to all levels of yoga experience. Workshop is designed to provide participants with an opportunity to get together and explore the beauty of yoga and the beauty of the ocean.
The yoga/surf instructor:
Born and raised in beautiful Santa Cruz, Ca, Kahlie has been surfing most of her life. Her passion for surfing and yoga has led her to travel the world studying yoga and catching waves. She has spent time teaching surfing and yoga in Central America as well as California. Her love of the ocean shines into her teaching to enhance and strengthen surfers. As a certified yoga teacher, she brings her training in restorative Hatha and dynamic Vinyasa flow together to create a empowering and heart opening practice.

Your clinic includes:
Two days, each day includes an hour of yoga instruction and three hours of surf instruction. All your gear is included – complementary surfboard & wetsuit (be sure to specify your sizes during registration). If you have your own surfboard or wetsuit, you are welcome to bring them, we recommend all wetsuits are at least 4/3mm.
Your packing list:
Loose fitting clothes to practice yoga in. We will provide all the equipment necessary for surfing, so just bring regular beach items: swimsuit, towel, sunscreen, snack & water.
