Set among the beautiful redwoods of the Santa Cruz Mountains, just 1 mile from downtown Boulder Creek, our 4-Day Nature & Wilderness Survival Camp is a great way to keep your kids busy this summer while making sure they learn important (and life-saving) skills. Activities range from basic nature/environmental education such as plant identification and animal tracking/study, to true survival skills. Kids will gain confidence and comfort in being outdoors, while having a great time and staying active.
*4-Day Camp: $445
This program may be booked year-round for either kids or teens on a private/custom basis. We also offer 1 public kids camp date (ages 8 – 12) each summer. For summer 2023 that date will be:
-JUNE 26-29 (9am-3pm)
Click below to sign up!
The camp will run for 6 hours each day; 9am-3pm (timing is flexible for a custom camp bookings). Our trained instructors – expert survivalists and naturalists – are excited to share these ancient skills with your child.
Learning these timeless traditions, such as native shelter building and fire-by-friction, helps to build self-esteem and awareness from knowing YOU CAN SURVIVE! This class is 100% hands-on and very active. Everything your kids learn, they will do – no indoor classrooms or long lectures. This is a great opportunity to pull your kids and teens away from the television, computer, and electronic devices, and get them excited about the wilderness. Each day will center around one of the 4 main necessities of survival: SHELTER (day 1), WATER (day 2), FIRE (day 3), and FOOD (day 4). There will be multiple activities each of those days around the main topic.
In short: this camp is about getting back to the earth, learning how our ancestors lived in harmony with our planet, and experiencing nature to its fullest. There is something here for every child – come with an open mind and be ready to have fun!
